The Surat Al-Kawthar was named after the word Al-Kawthar contained in it
Period of Revelation
As Abdullah bin Abbas sees - and it is the most correct narration - it was said about him that it was revealed about Al-Aas bin Wael, and that is that he saw the Messenger of God - may God bless him and grant him peace - leaving the mosque as he entered, so they met at the door of Bani Sahm, and they spoke and people from the leaders of Quraysh Sitting in the mosque, and when he entered the capital, they said to him: Who were you speaking to? He said: That is the amputee, meaning the Prophet - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him - and Abdullah, the son of the Messenger of God - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him - had died before that, and he was from Khadija, and they called those who had no son: “apter”, so God Almighty revealed this surah.
