surah

Name

Surat Al-Nas was given this name because Surat Al-Nas began with the words of the Almighty, "Say, I seek refuge with the Lord of humankind."

Period of Revelation

This is a Meccan surah that was revealed to our Holy Prophet Muhammad - may God bless him and grant him peace - before he emigrated to Medina.
The reason for the revelation of Surat Al-Nas is the same as the reason for the revelation of Surat Al-Falaq, for it was revealed as a spell for the Messenger - may God bless him and grant him peace - based on the story of a Jewish boy who served the Messenger - may God bless him and grant him peace. So the Jews came to this boy and asked him for some The comb of the Prophet - may God bless him and grant him peace - and some teeth of his comb, so this boy gave a man named Labid bin Al-A'sam what he had taken from the traces of the Messenger to do magic for him.
