Period of Revelation

Surat Maryam was revealed in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, with the exception of the fifty-eighth and seventy-one verses, as they were revealed in Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah
It is said that one of the reasons for the revelation of Surat Maryam is the delay of the revelation to the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace. So he started praying to God that Jibril would bring him the revelation, and when Jibril came to the Prophet, peace be upon him, he said to him, "We do not descend except by the command of your Lord; to Him belongs what is before us and what is behind us and what is in-between: and thy Lord never doth forget.

Stories of the Prophets in the Surat Maryam
In the Surat Maryam, a group of stories of the prophets are mentioned as follows:

The story of the Prophet of God Zakariya -peace be upon him

Which is mentioned in the verses from the second verse to the fifteenth verse, where Zakariya was young and he reached an old age and his wife was barren and he prayed to God to bless him with a child, because he feared for the children of Israel to provide for them after him who does not fear God in them.
God blessed him with Yahya, told him the good news about him while he was standing in the mihrab, and ordered him not to talk to people for three nights in a row.

The story of the miracle of Maryam's pregnancy - peace be upon her

Zakaria supported Maryam who was in the sanctuary one day. Gabriel - peace be upon him - came to her and announced that she would become pregnant with Jesus - peace be upon him - without marriage, and God made Jesus a sign for the children of Israel. [9]
God honored Mary with miracles to help her with her pregnancy and birth. Like the shaking of the palm trees when she was pregnant, the falling of the water on her without harming her, and the small river from which she drinks, then he commanded her not to quarrel with the children of Israel about her newborn and to fast and point to her newborn

The story of the Prophet of God Ibrahim -peace be upon him
The Sura mentions the story of our master Ibrahim with his father Azar, calling him to unite with God, warning him of God's wrath and chastisement, and warning him of Satan's plot. Jacob - peace be upon them.
