History of surah Quraysh
Name
Surah Quraish was named by this name because it is the only Surah in the Holy Quran that contains the word Quraish
Period of Revelation
It is a Meccan surah revealed before the Prophet's emigration. The Surah Quraish was revealed in the tribe of Quraish and mentions the mercy and grace of God Almighty upon them, for it speaks about the blessings that God Almighty bestowed upon the tribe of Quraish, the most famous of the Arab tribes that lived in the Arabian Peninsula and to which the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, belonged to, as he mentioned This surah shows that God Almighty kept them from fear, whether near the Holy House of God or in their travels and excursions, and fed them instead of severe hunger, in addition to the sustenance that God granted them in the winter and summer journeys, as they had two journeys for trade: the summer journey, whose route led to the Levant, and the winter journey, which led to Yemen.
Theme and topics
Explanation of the blessings that God Almighty has granted to the Quraysh, just as He has kept them safe near the Sacred House, so He has protected them in their travels and trade, so that the blessings of safety and wealth have accumulated for them, Gratitude to the Quraish for these blessings and a declaration of what they must do towards these blessings out of gratitude to God Almighty and worship of Him Who alone is the Almighty, Who fed them from hunger and protected them from fear
Permanence and continuity of the blessings consist in giving thanks to them, thanking the Giver and worshipping God Almighty alone sincerely, not taking partners with Him, obeying Him with what He has commanded and shunning what He has forbidden.
