Name

The Surat Al-Asr was so named because God - the mighty and exalted - had sworn at the beginning of the Sura by Al-Asr, that is, the time.

Period of Revelation

Surat Al-Asr was revealed in the time in which Surat Al-Sharh was also revealed, i.e. in the time between the beginning of the revelation and the migration.
There was no mention of the people of knowledge, interpretation and hadith as the reason for the revelation of Surat Al-Asr, and that the research in the books of interpretations and reasons for the revelation and in the book of Al-Suyuti, which came under the title of the door of transmission in the causes of revelation. He confirms that no reason was given
