Sura Al-Waqi'ah was revealed after Sura Taha in the period between the emigration and the incident of Isra' and Mi'raj, for it is one of the Meccan Suras, and its verses are ninety-six.

Theme and topics

The noble verses in Surat Al-Waqi'ah revolve around a group of scenes on the Day of Resurrection and the types of creation on that great day. Some of them are the near ones, and among them are the companions of the right and among them are the companions of the left. Then the verses mention what God has prepared for each of these categories, whether it is a painful punishment or a lasting bliss.

And this is in the heaven, which is permeated with peace, the angels greet them and greet each other and deliver the peace from their Lord - blessed and exalted be He - and the evidence of God's creation of the creation and His resurrection for the sake of the gathering, then the reckoning and the reward, and among these evidences is God's creation of plowing and planting, water and fire, and what God has created has many blessings in it, and the necessity of touching the Quran in the state of purity, and that which afflicts a man at death.
