Name

Surat Al-Duha was named after its opening; where God swore by the time of the forenoon, which is the beginning of the day when the sun rises, and because it was revealed about the Prophet - may God bless him and grant him peace - it began with the forenoon.

Period of Revelation

The Surat Al-Duha was revealed at a time when the revelation to the Prophet - may God bless him and grant him peace - was delayed and the polytheists were spreading false rumors because of the delay in the revelation. on it and guides the people to keep the honorable customs

Theme and topics

This surah is about the personality of the greatest Prophet Muhammad - may God bless him and grant him peace - and what God bestowed upon him in this world and the hereafter. To thank God for His great blessings upon him.

And the verses showed God's care for His trustworthy Prophet in his first and last affairs, and the noble Surah began with an oath about the majesty of the Messenger's destiny - may God bless him and grant him peace - and that his Lord has not abandoned him, as the polytheists claimed, and that he is of great importance with God, and I announced to him the glad tidings that he will get much in the Hereafter and that God - the Almighty - has prepared many blessings, including the great intercession. reminded him of the situation he was in when he was young, orphanhood, poverty and loss, so God protected him, enriched him and surrounded him with His care.

The Surah concluded with the Messenger's commands - may God bless him and grant him peace - not to forget the blessings of God upon him. Thus, he has compassion on the orphan so that he does not oppress him or despise him, and he has mercy on the questioner who asks about hardship and poverty so that he does not rebuke him but rather gives him a nice answer or returns it and guides the servants to the path of righteousness.
