Name

Surah Al-Tareq has been named in the Holy Qur'an in reference to its opening. How God Almighty swore first by the heavens and then by Al-Tareq, as reported by Wahba Al-Zuhaili in the book Al-Tafsir Al-Munir.

Period of Revelation

In Tafsir Al-Qurtubi - may God have mercy on him - the reason for the revelation of the first verses of the Surah was mentioned, namely that the Messenger of God - God's prayer and peace be upon him - was sitting with his uncle Abi Talib, and while they were sitting, a star fell from the sky and illuminated the earth and filled it with light. God bless him and give him peace: What is this? The Messenger of God - may God bless him and grant him peace - answered him and said - with what it means - that this is a star that was shot at, and it is one of the signs of God Almighty, so "al-Tareq" is a star according to all commentators.
