Name
It was called "Surat Al-Hajj" in memory of the call of prophet Ibrahim, peace be upon him, when he finished the construction of the Holy house and called people to pilgrimage to the Holy House of God, so that the mountains humbled themselves. Until the voice reached the corners of the earth, so those in the loins and in the womb heard his call, who responded to the call: "At your service, O Allah, at your service."

Period of Revelation
The interpreters said, " It was revealed about Bedouins who used to come from their desert to the Messenger of God in Medina, and one of them was when he came to Medina, if he was healthy there and his horse gave birth to a good foal and his wife gave birth to a boy and his wealth and livestock increased, he believed in him and was reassured, and he said, "Since I entered this religion, I have achieved nothing but good, even if the suffering of Medina befalls him, And his wife gave birth to a slave girl, and his shooting was stopped, and his money was gone, and the alms came too late for him. Then Satan came to him and said, "By God, since you have belonged to this religion of yours, I have done nothing but mischief to make him turn away from his religion." Then God Almighty revealed the verse (There are among the people such who worship Allah and (yet stand) on the very edge) Attia transmitted on the authority of Abu Saeed Al-Khudri, he said: a man among the Jews converted to Islam, so his eyesight, money and son were gone, and he pessimized Islam, so he came to the Prophet and said that so his sight, money and his son were gone, and he pessimized Islam, so he came to the Prophet and said: I have not found good in this religion of mine, my sight, my money and my son have gone.

Theme and topics
Surah Al-Hajj is civil and deals with aspects of legislation, just like all other civil surahs that deal with matters of legislation. Although the surah is civil, it is dominated by the atmosphere of the Meccan surahs. The theme of faith, monotheism, warning, intimidation, the theme of resurrection and retribution, and the scenes of resurrection and its horrors are so present in the noble surah that the reader almost believes it is one of the suras. In addition, there are the Meccan legislative themes such as permission to fight, the provisions for hajj and righteousness, the command to fight in the way of God, and other themes characteristic of the Medinan suras.
