Name
The reason for calling this sura by this name is the occurrence of “Fussilat” Which meant a separate word in the first of its verses, so that it became known by this name to distinguish it from other suras that opened with Ha meem, and it should be noted that this sura has a number of other names.

Period of Revelation

Sura Fussilat is one of the Meccan suras that scholars agree was revealed before the emigration of the Prophet - may God bless him and grant him peace. And there is no reason of revealing.
