Name

It is named in most of the Qur’ans and in most of the interpretations, and in “Jami Al-Tirmidhi”: “Surat Al-Ikhlas." This name became famous for its abbreviation and the combination of the meanings of this surah, because it teaches people the sincerity of worshiping God Almighty.

Period of Revelation

It is one of the Meccan surahs that were revealed to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, in Makkah Al-Mukarramah here was a weak hadith about that: “The polytheists said to the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him: O Muhammad, ascribe to us your Lord.” So God, the Blessed and Exalted, revealed the surah

Theme and topics

A proof of the unity of God, the Creator, praised be He.

it denied any polytheism in the presence of God Almighty; it denied that God Almighty has a peer or partner

It contained the main pillars of religion and Sharia; it spoke about monotheism, which is the essence of religion

It works to shape the thinking and behavior of the believer, whether in worship or in dealings, and we have seen this in the Prophet - may God bless him and grant him peace - and his companions, may God be pleased with them.

Surah Al-Ikhlas was the origin of many social principles and beliefs on which the Muslim community was to be built.
