Period of Revelation

Surah Qaf is a Meccan Surah revealed when the Prophet Muhammad resided in Mecca.
One of the reasons for the revelation of the noble surah was the claim of the Jews that God Almighty created the heavens and the earth, then rested on the seventh day, which is Saturday, which is their holiday, which angered the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, because it was transmitted from Ibn Abbas that the Jews came to the Prophet, so I asked him about the creation of the heavens and the earth, and he said: God created the earth on Sunday and Monday, He created the mountains on Tuesday, He created the heavens on Wednesday and Thursday, He created the stars, the sun and the moon on Friday, Allah said: (We created the heavens and the earth and all between them in Six Days, nor did any sense of weariness touch Us.)

Theme and topics

Among the purposes of Surah Qaf is the mention of many facts that God Almighty mentioned in its verses, which He wanted to communicate to all people in order to baffle the disbelievers and invalidate their arguments. This surah was revealed in response to their claims and lies, especially since it dealt with many doctrinal issues and mentioned the disbelievers who denied the Day of Resurrection, Judgment and Re-creation. And how God, who created them, can recreate them again. And it also mentioned how God Almighty revives dead people, plants and trees.
